Birthday Surprise for Dr. Stevens

What does the SDMI department staff do for our director on his birthday (which is the day before National Boss's Day)? Well, since he was out of the office all of last week, we call him and sing "Happy Birthday" to him while he's teaching a class. Then we email him birthday wishes the rest of the day. But, the biggest surprise would greet him when he came back to the office.

Friday morning, SDMI staff members started blowing up our stash of Sunday School balloons. We blew, and blew, and blew, but we didn't have enough hot air.
So we invited other employees at the Global Ministry Center (GMC) to participate with us.


In fact, we passed out 3 balloons to every GMC employee. All day long, more balloons would arrive from other offices.

By the end of the day, his office looked like this:


On Monday morning, we surprised him with an office full of balloons. Some of us even hid under the balloons for a more dramatic surprise. Dr. Stevens kept saying, "What am I going to do with all these balloons?" and "How can I work in here with all these balloons?"
