A Quick Update & Prayer Requests

These are busy days, and I ask for your prayers for all that is to come in the coming few days.
  • For the beginning of lay training courses. This is a new area which has never been officially established in Romania and will be my primary responsibility. There are two major plans in the works at the moment which will start in February.
  • For my presentation (in Romanian) to each of the churches on the district explaining the upcoming district emphasis on discipleship and lay training. I’ve already presented in Tigmandru, and I will be presenting in Bucharest this Sunday.
  • For the development of a vital small group ministry in Sighisoara. I will be helping the church board later this week to think through the best ways to form such a ministry.
  • For theological education which is re-starting in Romania. European Nazarene College’s extension centre here allows Romanians to be trained for full-time ministry so they don’t have to leave the country for 4 years to earn a Bachelor’s degree. The first course in the restart of the extension centre will begin at the end of this month.
  • For the annual Leadership Conference and All-Faculty Meeting held at European Nazarene College, which I will be attending next week.
  • For the future of the Romanian Studies Program, which brings American students to Romania for a semester academic and cross-cultural service learning experience. We are looking for ways to sustain the program after the current director retires this summer.
Thank you for praying!
