Târgu Mureş

Here are a few pictures I took in while I was visiting the city of Târgu Mureş.

Bust of Mihai Viteazul (Michael the Brave), who was the first to unite the three major parts of Romania (click here to read more).

Statue of the she-wolf nursing Romulus and Remus, the mythological founders of Rome. This statue is found in most cities in Romania as a reminder that the Romanian people trace their ancestry back to the Roman empire, when Emperor Trajan (pictured below) conquered the territory which is now Romania.
