Baptism in the Sighisoara Church (November 2011)
Receiving New Members in the Sighisoara Church (November 2011)

In early December, the Hudsons (the family serving as Nazarene missionaries in Bucharest) visited Sighisoara. We took a hike to the Breite, a nature reserve in Sighisoara. The oak trees are hundreds of years old. We thought it would be fun to have a group hug around one of these large trees.

The House on the Rock, the building which houses the Veritas administrative offices and is located on the historic square of Sighisoara, is one of very few places that are decorated during the Advent and Christmas seasons with images from the Christmas story. Yes, even here in a country that is supposedly 99% Christian, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, and snowmen overshadow Jesus at this time of year.
One of my favorite is the annual Candle Walk in Sighisoara. As we walk with lit candles through the historic streets of Sighisoara's citadel, we stop at various locations (city hall, church, school) to sing carols and pray for various aspects of life in Sighisoara.
