However, I was recently talking to someone who thought they were seeing all of my posts on Facebook. It turns out that although they "like" my page, they weren't seeing my updates in their news feed or receiving notifications when I posted new material.
As you probably already know, Facebook likes to use algorithms to decide for you what it thinks you want to see. If you'd like to know when I post an update on Facebook, follow these steps.
Go to https://www.facebook.com/jepjonRomania.
1. Click the "Like" button
2. Click on the 3 dots which will then bring up additional options.
3. Select "Follow Settings."
This will then give you the following options.
1. Under "News Feed," be sure that you select "Favorites" instead of "Default."
2. Under "Notifications," select "Posts." Then, on the new screen "Posts Notifications," select "Standard" (instead of "highlights").
3. Also under "Notifications," select "Video." Then, on the new screen, "Video Notifications," select "All Notifications" (instead of "highlights").
4. Be sure to click "Update" at the bottom. If you don't, the changes won't be saved. (It's probably a good idea to check it after you've changed it to make sure the settings were saved.)
After you have completed these steps, you should receive a notification like this one whenever I post an update:
You can look forward to receiving a notification about a new post almost every week.
And as a reminder, click on the "Subscribe" tab above to learn all the different ways that you can receive updates from me.
