Blessings Abound

Today marks the beginning my 5th year in ministry in Romania. I’d like to take this opportunity to recount some of the ways God has been blessing me through you, my support network of friends and family.

Because You Pray…
First of all, I want to thank you for your prayer support. I am always encouraged when I receive a greeting card or an email from someone letting me know that I'm being prayed for. Sometimes those cards come just at the right moment when I need to be reminded that I’m not in this alone.

I ask for your continued prayer support for me and for the Church of the Nazarene in Romania, including the 3 areas of my ministry focus: (1) the continuing development of discipleship ministries & lay training, (2) developing and expanding Nazarene Child Sponsorship/Child Development in Romania, and (3) coordinating the "Power of One" and Nazarene Manual translation projects. You can check out my website for updated lists of prayer requests.

Because you give to my Mission Corps Account…
As a Nazarene volunteer missionary, I need to raise all of my financial support. Because you have given generously to my Mission Corps fund, all of my ministry-related expenses have been taken care of these past 4 years, and I have been able to focus on ministry rather than fundraising. I thank you for your support and praise God for His provision.

As I begin this new year of ministry, let me once again give you the opportunity to partner with me by giving financially. I need to raise $15,000 for my ministry fund over the course of this year. This past year, I received donations of only $4000 -- far less than what I actually spent. I did have sufficient funds raised from previous years in my account to cover this year's costs, but I am praying for new one-time and ongoing donations this year. Contributions are tax-deductible and are approved missions giving in the Church of the Nazarene. Click here to make a donation online or to find out where to send checks.

Because you give to help cover Personal Expenses…
My Mission Corps fund only covers a portion of my expenses while ministering in Romania. Over the past four years, donors have been supportive by helping cover personal expenses not covered by my Mission Corps fund, even though these gifts are not tax-deductible. (You can click here to read what items are not covered by Mission Corps and how to give to cover personal expenses.) I give thanks to God that I have had sufficient funds to cover personal expenses. Thank you for your continuing support!

Staying Connected...
Because I value your partnership with me, I try my best to keep you updated with what is happening in Romania. I update my blog (www.jepjon.com) with posts about ministry and prayer requests. I send out a periodic e-newsletters that you can sign up for here. I have a Facebook page which I try to keep updated. Also, please feel free to print the PDF versions of my newsletters to share with those without internet access.

See You in the US...
I normally return to the US each year in order to share what God is doing in Romania and to raise financial support. I am currently planning my 2013 and 2014 trips. Click here to view my schedule.
  • November 2013: I'm just 2 months away from my next trip to the US. I will be based in Pennsylvania. I still have openings in my schedule. Please contact me if you are in the  interested in me sharing with your church or your small group.
  • August-September 2014: I'm beginning to put together a trip to the US at the end of next summer. Please contact me if you are interested in me sharing with your church or small group. I am also available for district tours.
Thank you for your continued support, especially through prayer and giving, as I begin this new year of ministry in Romania!
