The leaves are changing colors & temperatures cooling down here in Sighisoara. This was taken near my apartment. |
The past few weeks I have been hurrying to get as much done as possible before I leave. It’s nice to be able to return to a “clean slate” rather than having unfinished projects awaiting my return.
The project which has consumed most of my time has been the coordination of “The Power of One” translation project. This is part of the Church of the Nazarene Eurasia Region’s “Missional Church Initiative” to provide and translate resources for discipleship, evangelism, church planting, devotions, compassionate ministries, and church leadership. There are 10 books – each about 50 pages – which are being translated into Romanian. The first 8 are finished, and I just sent them to the publisher. I hope to have these 8 books in hand for the Romania District Assembly on November 1-2. (The other two should be ready by the end of the year.) You can learn more about the “Power of One” at www.missionaleurasia.com. (The Romanian books will be posted soon in the “Downloads” section.)
Please pray for the Romania District Assembly on November 1-2 in Bucharest. Pray for those traveling to the assembly. Pray that it will be a time to celebrate what God is doing in the Church of the Nazarene in Romania. Pray also for me as I will be presenting a workshop on discipleship on the second day of the assembly.
Please also pray for my upcoming trip to the US. Pray for me as I prepare to spend a month in the US, for safety as I travel to and in the US, that God will give me the right message to share with the churches where I will be speaking, and that I will be able to raise funds to continue ministering here.
While I’m on the subject, I plan to come to the US again in August-September 2014. I have a few churches which have expressed interest in me coming, but I still have many openings in my schedule. If you’d like me to share about Romania, please contact me.
Thank you for your prayers for the Church of the Nazarene in Romania.
