Nazarenes in Romania

Here are a few brief recent highlights of the Church of the Nazarene in Romania.

More Space in the Bucharest Church
This summer, the Church of the Nazarene in Bucharest underwent a renovation to provide much-needed space in the sanctuary for more seating. The expanded sanctuary is already nearly filled to capacity each Sunday. Praise God for this growing multi-generational Romanian-led congregation!

District Assembly The Romania District Assembly took place at the beginning of November. General Superintendent Jesse Middendorf and Eurasia Regional Director Gustavo Crocker were present for this special event. In the picture to the right, Dr. Crocker presents the Romania District Advisory Board for the coming year. Please pray for this board as they make important decisions for the district.

Part of a Team
Please pray with me for the rest of the Nazarene team here in Romania. The missionaries I serve with –Dorothy Tarrant, Roberta Bustin, Michael & Tamara Hudson, and Jay & Teanna Sunberg – and the Romanian pastoral and lay leaders.

Providing Jobs
Many of the people who attend our church in Tigmandru do not have steady jobs. Jobs are very hard to come by in the village, and they’re not much more plentiful in Sighisoara. Sometimes they are able to find seasonal work. Often, however, our church members leave the country for several months at a time, getting a minimum wage job in a Western European country in order to save up enough money to support their families for the coming months. Please pray for several small business ventures we hope to start in the coming year in Tigmandru which will provide jobs and much-needed income for those who attend our church, as well as to help support our church directly.
