January in Pictures

Enjoy this recap of the month of January in pictures.
Above: the first snowfall of the new year in Sighisoara.

Below: The Nazarene missionaries serving in Albania, Kosovo, and Bucharest, Romania, all came to Sighisoara to spend New Year's weekend. We spent New Year's Eve together playing board games and watching the fireworks at midnight.
A few days later, two students and their professor from Huntington University came to Sighisoara to spend 2 weeks with the Romanian Studies Program. I led their Cross-Cultural Orientation and a series of Cross-Cultural Checkups with them during their stay (pictured below).
I will be traveling back to the US in just a few weeks, where I will be interviewed by the Mid-Atlantic District Board of Ministry for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene. In preparation for this interview, I've been participating in a series of seminars hosted by the district. (That's me joining them via Skype on the big screen, pictured below.)

I just spent 2 weeks away from Sighisoara, as I traveled for European Nazarene College. First, I traveled to Albania to teach a 2-day session of the course "God's Mission and the Church." In the picture below, I'm teaching, assisted by my translator Cezi.

The class participants in Albania (with one not pictured):

From Albania, I traveled to Buesingen, Germany, for the annual all-faculty assembly of European Nazarene College. It was nice to spend a few days with missionaries and church leaders from across Europe as we talked about the direction the college is taking.

From Germany, I traveled back to Albania, then got a bus to go to Kosovo. I taught 2 days of class sessions there, as well. Although I'm returning to Romania, the students in Albania and Kosovo will continue in their studies for this course, and we will meet twice more on Skype.

No visit to Pristina, Kosovo, would be complete without visiting Bill Clinton Blvd, and seeing the statue of the former US President.

As you can see, January has been a busy month. February will be busy, too, as I have only 3 weeks in Romania before returning to the US until mid-May.

If you haven't already, check out my November-December Pictures.
