January in Pictures
The month of January was a very full month - from hosting a group of American students in the Romanian Studies Program, to traveling to Albania, Kosovo, and Switzerland. Rather than write about it, I took pictures to show what I experienced. Click here to view the month's highlights in pictures.
God's Perfect Timing for Veritas
On Tuesday, January 31, Veritas director Petra Popa was looking for a miracle. It was the day payment was due on the new Veritas ministry center, but there wasn't enough money in the bank. Click here to read how God provided for Veritas in His perfect timing.
On Sunday evening, February 19, the three men from the Tigmandru Church of the Nazarene who have been in my intro to Old Testament discipleship class for the past year were presented with certificates from Continuing Lay Training after they shared with the congregation the overarching Old Testament story from beginning to end.
It has been wonderful to see God work in the lives of these young men throughout the past year, especially as they have recently become involved in leading 2 new outreach ministries.
Winter New
I have just posted my winter newsletter, a brief look at some of the highlights over the past few months. Please feel free to download and print this version of my newsletter for those who do not have internet access. Click here to access the PDF newsletter.
Coming to America
I will be based in York, Pennsylvania, for most of my time in the US, although I will also be traveling to Wisconsin (Mar 24-Apr 1), Georgia (Apr 20-30), and Kansas City (May 2-9). To date, I’m scheduled to speak in 34 different churches, in a variety of settings. I invite you to check out my speaking schedule and come here what God is doing in Romania.
Please Pray
I ask for your pr
ayers for safe travels, that I may be a faithful witness of what God is doing in and through the Church of the Nazarene in Romania, that I will be able to raise funds needed to continue ministering in Romania, and that my time in the US will be an encouraging time visiting with family and reconnecting with friends. After several years using the same prayer card, I have designed a new one which highlights the team of missionaries and Romanian leaders in the Church of the Nazarene in Romania.
Dolls for Sale
While in the US, I will be selling handmade dolls, dressed in traditional Romanian costumes, for $10 each (plus shipping, if applicable). These dolls were made by the women in the Tigmandru Church of the Nazarene, and all proceeds from the sale of the dolls go back to this ministry. If you would like to order a doll, please contact me so I can reserve one for you.
Blessings,
Jonathan
