Please join me in praying for the following:
General Conventions

Every 4 years, the Church of the Nazarene holds a General Assembly preceded by general conventions for Nazarene Missions International (NMI), Nazarene Youth International (NYI), and Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI). This year, in addition to the General Assembly & Conventions in Indianapolis, Indiana, there will be an additional 10 convention sites around the world. These additional sites for the general conventions will allow delegates who cannot afford the expense of traveling to the US, as well as those who cannot receive visas to enter the US, to participate in the conventions as full delegates.
There will be delegates from Romania attending the 3 conventions in Razgrad, Bulgaria, (just 2 hours south of Bucharest), and one attending the general assembly in Indianapolis. Please pray for them as they travel, as they participate in the conventions and assembly, and that they will return to Romania equipped for ministry.

I’ve been asked to host the Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) General Convention in Razgrad, Bulgaria. I'm no stranger to SDMI General Conventions. For the 2005 and 2009 General Conventions, I worked in the general SDMI office at Nazarene Headquarters/Global Ministry Center.
On Sunday I will travel to Razgrad, Bulgaria, to host the SDMI General Convention, which starts Wednesday. There are 10 SDMI delegates registered from the Eurasia Region to attend this location. Please pray for them as they travel. Pray for the logistics (including that the technology that connects us to Indianapolis will work without any major problems). Pray that it will be a time of inspiration and motivation for them as they lead discipleship ministries in their local churches. Pray for me as I host the convention and lead a workshop on discipleship.
European Nazarene College
I have just started teaching a directed study course here in Romania to a student who was unavailable when I taught "
God's Mission and the Church" a couple years ago. It's obviously very different to teach one student instead of a classroom full of students. While covering the same material, I get to tailor the class sessions around the student's questions. Please pray for me as I teach, and also for the student, that what is learned will be able to be applied to ministry.
Discipleship & Lay Training in Romania
Later this summer and into the fall I hope to be leading some new lay training courses in the churches on the Romania district. Please pray for me as I prepare and for the Romanians who are involved in ministry.
Local Churches & Romania District
Please pray for each of the Nazarene congregations in Romania - Bucharest, Sighisoara, and Tigmandru. Pray especially for the pastors, church boards, and lay leaders.
Thank you for praying!
